WOW time card – Few words about World of Warcraft

Welcome on WOW Time Card. You probably heard about most popular pay-for-play MMORPG? Yes I’m talking about World of Warcraft. WoW was first announced by Blizzard at the ECTS trade show in September 2001. World of Warcraft, (or WoW), is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Blizzard Entertainment. Development of the game took around 4-5 years and finally, this great and successful online game was released on November 23, 2004, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Warcraft franchise.
In April 2008, World of Warcraft was estimated to hold 62% of the massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) market.
WoW is set in the world of Azeroth where player selects the new character’s race, such as Orcs or Trolls for the Horde or Humans or Dwarves for the Alliance. Gamers must also select the class for the character, with choices such as warlocks, priests and paladins available. You should also remember that some classes are limited to particular races.

With created character-avatar within a game world in third person view, player is exploring the landscape, fighting various enemies, completing various task (quests), and interacting with NPCs (Non-Player Character) or other players. You can also join guild, interact with Auction House where other players are selling necessary, rare items or just travel through large in-game world. Game has a story line but you don’t need to complete it – you have free choice, what to do.

In common with many other MMORPGs, WoW requires the player to pay for a subscription, either by buying special WoW time card for a pre-selected amount of playing time, or by using a credit or debit card.

According to official Blizzard statement, from December 23rd, 2008 – has been “announced that World of Warcraft, its award-winning subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game, is now played by more than 11.5 million subscribers worldwide.”
